Caring for disabled children and young people in Mukono Uganda

How you can help

When Elizabeth House Day Centre was set up in 2000 there were no thoughts of opening a residential home. However, when we saw how the children were beginning to respond to love and the limited amount of care we could provide, plus the positive attitudes of the parents we knew in our hearts we had to take the next step forward. In 2006 Elizabeth House residential home opened its doors and we now have 20 young people staying with us.  Our vision is to be able to build more houses and give hope to many more young people with disabilities. As you can imagine Elizabeth House is costly to run and to enable us to continue to provide the standard of care these young people deserve, and to offer support and guidance to their families, who are often shunned by society, we need your help.

Elizabeth House is funded and supported entirely by individuals, churches and schools. If you would like to help us look after these amazing children you can do so in a number of ways.
